Department of Mathematics

About Department

Established in 1951, the Department of Mathematics initially offered a traditional B.Sc. program in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry in Telugu medium. Over the years, it has adapted to global trends, restructuring its courses to include computer science integration, industry connectivity, and English medium instruction. These adaptations, including the introduction of specialized courses like Mathematics, Chemistry, and Analytical Chemistry, reflect the department's commitment to meeting the evolving demands of education and industry.

Supported by dedicated faculty members engaged in research and institutional activities, the department serves as a dynamic hub for academic excellence. With the introduction of a single major course in Mathematics and a minor course allowing students to explore specific areas of interest, it continues to prepare students for diverse career paths while staying aligned with the changing educational landscape and industry requirements.
