About JKC

Training and Placement cell known as Jawahar Knowledge Centre( JKC) is an innovative and pioneering initiative designed to attract top students throughout the state, equipping them with exceptional infrastructure, guidance, resources, and opportunities to tackle challenging real-world problems. Established in degree colleges across Andhra Pradesh, JKC aims to enhance employability skills among students. The program focuses on developing soft skills, analytical abilities, and communication skills through accelerated learning methods. The availability of skilled graduates is drawing numerous companies to Andhra Pradesh.

As India’s global prominence continues to rise, there is an increasing demand for dedicated, talented students who possess strong computer, communication, analytical, and industry-related skills. The global job market is accessible to those who can communicate fluently, calculate efficiently, write clearly, and analyze critically. However, traditional curriculums in B.A., B.Com, and B.Sc. courses often fall short of providing the essential skills needed for the rapidly evolving job market, particularly in emerging sectors like software and BPO. The Department recognizes the necessity of offering training to address the skills gap among students, enabling them to seize employment opportunities. Its primary goal is to provide intensive training that equips students with employability skills and boosts their confidence in securing jobs. These centres strive to tackle the unemployment issue faced by students pursuing non-professional degrees in Andhra Pradesh.

The JKC in this college was established in October 2006 to develop Skills, Providing Opportunities, and Unleashing Potential. Since the academic year 2007-08 the JKC has been training the students and conducting job drives to facilitate young graduates with good placement opportunities. Since 2023 Mr. Y.Manikumar has been serving as JKC coordinator.
