About the Committee:
Govt. Degree College (Men), Srikakulam has adopted holistic and realistic validation under affiliation of DR.BRAU system from 2012 onwards. The Examination Unit is headed by the Principal, (the Chief Superintendent of Examinations), Controller of Examinations and the Examination committee. The Examination committee comprises a team of faculty, office assistants, computer programmers, data entry operators and other helpers. The Examination committee is ever vigilant, evaluates its functioning periodically and modifies the norms regularly in alignment with those proposed by the University and CCE.
GOAL
The entire assessment process to be transparent, efficient and student centered.
OBJECTIVES:
- To maintain accuracy in evaluation.
- To establish transparency and accountability in the required procedures.
- To adopt effective security measures for the conduct of examination.
- To bring about necessary reforms for the stakeholders.
- Develop mechanisms to collect feedback from students and address their concerns.
Functions of the Examination Committee:
- Prepare circulars regarding exams and online examination fee payment.
- Provides information pertaining to all Examination.
- Takes precautions while preparing Invigilation list and seating arrangements for the smooth conduct of Examinations.
- Appoints and assigns responsibilities to the staff during Examination.
- Creates conducive atmosphere for the valuation of SEE answer scripts during Centralised valuation.
- Keeps record of all information pertaining to examinations.
- Addresses all grievances related to examinations notified by staff and students.
- Condoct meetings.
- Recommends examination reforms and implements them.
- Prepare time table for mid exams.

Disciplinary action for malpractice:
All malpractices addressed during examinations are referred to the Examination Committee. The Committee uses fair means to identify the type of malpractice carried out by the students, collects all evidences and submits the findings to the Principal. The Principal take necessary action based on the report submitted by the examination Committee.

Punishments:
The following punishments will be given to the students ,when they indulge in malpractices in end semester exams:
Possession of notes, books of any incriminating material but not attempted to copy: The particular examination paper will be cancelled.
Attempting to copy from the material in possession and accepting the Malpractice : the particular paper and subsequent papers will be cancelled.
The student will be disqualified from the examination if he writes examination with mobile phone and keeping the same with or without knowledge of the invigilator.
