The implementation of these recommendations has significantly improved the overall quality of education, infrastructure, and student development at Government Degree College for Men, Srikakulam. Continuous review and strategic planning will ensure sustained progress and excellence.

Introduction of New Courses and Curriculum Tuning
  1. Introduction of New Programs:BBA and B.Sc. in Analytical Chemistry were introduced in the Academic Year 2020-21. Additionally, a PG program in Medical Biotechnology was launched in the Academic Year 2024-25.
  2. Curriculum Tuning:Geography and Tourism courses were converted to full electives starting from the Academic Year 2018-19.
These initiatives align with the recommendation to introduce new courses and enhance the curriculum to meet evolving academic and industry demands.
Sustain New Initiatives in Certificate Courses
Institution has offered 39 new certificate courses focused on skill enhancement, specialization, practical knowledge, and networking opportunities to ensure a sustained impact over the next five years.
Provision of Hostels for Boys and Girls
Submitted proposals to Commissionerate of Collegiate Education (CCE), Andhra Pradesh Government, RUSA, UGC, MP-MLA LAD, and other agencies for funding the construction of separate hostels for boys and girls.

Encourage Quality Research Publications
Promoted Research Ecosystem through the establishment of Research Cell. Resulting in 79 research publications, 18 book publications, 13 paper presentations,  7 research supervisors, 13 PhD Scholars and 2 Best Thesis awards.
Introduction of English Medium Sections for Arts Students
Implemented English medium sections for all courses from 20221-2022 as per the GO, Govt of Andhra Pradesh.

Organized events and initiatives to engage alumni-Encouraged alumni contributions towards college development
Development and Implementation of a Perspective Plan
Developed a new Vision and Mission statement to align with the goals of NEP 2020. A comprehensive Strategic Planning and Development Document was deployed with Annual Institutional Development Plans for effective implementation.
Strategy for Honing Student Talents in Sports, Cultural, Literary, and Other Fields
Engaged part-time instructors for sports, cultural, and literary activities Developed facilities and opportunities for students to showcase their talents. Resulting in 68 medals and cultural participation at state level competitions.
 
Skill Orientation at Every Stage
We have integrated skill-oriented training at various stages of our curriculum through initiatives like the Community Service Project, Short Term Internship, and Long Term Internship programs. Additionally, we provide skill development opportunities through the Skill Development Centre, Jawahar Knowledge Centre, Foldscope Facilitation Centre, and by organizing Skill Fest events.
Improvement of Physical Education Facilities
We have enhanced our existing sports fields and gym facilities, improved our physical education infrastructure, and expanded physical fitness and training opportunities for students.
Improvement of Overall Cleanliness and Water Supply, Outsourcing Housekeeping
We have improved the water supply system with the installation of RO plant, implemented supervised housekeeping for better cleanliness, and enhanced overall campus cleanliness and water reliability.

Computerization of Library
We have successfully computerized the library with SOUL 2.0 software and equipped it with 15 computers and internet connectivity. We also subscribed to N-LIST and expanded access to digital resources, significantly enhancing our library facilities.
Provision of Physical Education Training for Entry into Armed Forces
Competitive guidance is provided by the mixed NCC unit with 160 cadets and Increased number of students prepared for careers in the armed forces.
